FAQs

  1. Is there a printable Brochure? Yes, download the brochure (en Espaņol)
  2. What is the San Francisco time zone? Pacific Standard Time (UTC-8)
  3. What is the climate like in San Francisco in July? Warm days. Evening fog comes in suddenly and can be extremely cold. More weather information on the About San Francisco page.
  4. What should I Pack? Shorts for daytime (warmest days). Jacket or sweatshirt and long pants for evenings. It is cold in the evenings in June and July. The fog is wet, and as it comes in, there's a wind associated with it. The standard attire to watch San Francisco's Fourth of July fireworks is warm pants (or sweatpants over the shorts) and 3-4 layers of long-sleeved shirts and/or sweatshirts. If you aren't prepared with proper clothing, you will most likely be improving the local economy by purchasing warmer clothes from a street vendor.
  5. What is the dress code for the conference? Business casual.
  6. Will the conference be translated into other languages? All general sessions and at least 2 tracks will be translated into Spanish. Additional languages may be added based on demographics of registered delegates. Please return to this site for updated information.
  7. Does the registration fee include housing accommodations? No. Information on local hotels is on the Accommodations page.
  8. Do we have a special rate at the conference hotels? Yes. Information on conference hotels is on the Accommodations page.
  9. How many CPE credits? 18 hours
  10. Where will the conference be held? The Moscone Center.
  11. What are the conference hotels? The Hilton San Francisco, The Marriott San Francisco and the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco.
  12. What does the conference registration fee include? Attendance to The IIA's International Conference 2008, all printed conference materials, conference bag, breakfast (3 days), lunch (2 days), refreshments during conference days, welcome reception, vendor reception and gala evening.
