Q: medication?
I think i may have a slight depression. Its hard for me to be motivated all the time. Most days i'm kinda sad and i just don't want to be like that anymore. I also think that going away to college is causeing some aniexty. does anyone have a certain medication they would recommend for this?
A: Talk to your doctor, but Lexapro is used to treat both depression and anxiety. I have had a very positive experience with it.
Q: What is the typical medication dosage for adult add?
I am being tested for ADD on Monday. I believe I am going to be diagnosed and be given medication. I know their are many types of medications. Will anyone share how much add medication they are on and what type of medication you were prescribed. Thanks.
A: I take Vyvanse 50 mg/day. I was diagnosed last year. If you do not have ADD, it can be dangerous to take this medicine.
It has even lowered my blood pressure.
Medicines that would often make normal people hyper, calm ADD patients down. I can drink coffee before going to bed and it has no effect on me.
Q: How long would medication have to be for someone who has schizoaffective disorder?
I have been under medication for almost 3 years now and my psychiatrist says that I would have to take it on a long-term basis. Meanwhile, I attended this seminar where the speaker said medication would be life-time. So, which is really true? Also, how come the medication for bipolar disorder the same as that of schizoaffective disorder? How are these illnesses different from each other?
A: Schizoaffective Disorder has two subcategory types, bipolar and depressive. From what I can tell from on-line reading, Bipolar Disorder seems to have a more organized set of symptoms. If you suffer from Bipolar Disorder you would also suffer from a Schizoaffective Disorder because Bipolar Disorder is a subset. Presumably you have the symptoms of Schizoaffective Disorder but not the specific symptoms of Bipolar. Ask your psychiatrist but the phrase long-term basis probably means for the rest of your life. These disorders can't be cured (at least not yet) and don't go away. They can be treated though and that's the good news.
Q: I accidentally ate my sleep medication after i woke up. How will i go to work and class now?
My doctor prescribed me a medication for isomnia which makes you very drowsy and sleepy within 20 to 30 minutes after consuming it. when I wake up, I am supposed to take my anti-depressant.
When i woke up i was very refreshed and energetic. But the bottles looked similar and both tablets where white. Unknowingly i took the sleep medication.
I have to go to work, and then i have exam in school too. The medication knocks you out for 10 to 12 hours. What will happen now?
A: Drink COFFEE! I am serious, you need to make your way to Starbucks. Instead of driving, I highly encourage taking a bus. If you feel you need to make your way out of work, go to a doctor. He could give you something to wake up probably. I am no doctor, so I am not sure there is such a thing to relieve you of sleeping pill drowsiness. You will most likely feel weak, drowsy, and stressed. At least that is how I feel when I am tired :( You will be fine. You can always take the test another time and make up for it if you can't stay awake for class. Remember next time to put your pills in different places to avoid another mixup. Glad I could help! -Nevaeh

Q: Allopathic medication just works by suppressing the disease and not curing it. How many of you agree?
Any allopathic medication works by suppressing or blocking the body's mechanism and fools the patient that it has cured the illness! It is not worried about the root cause of the disease. There is no mediciation in allopathy without side effects. Your comments?
A: Allopathic medicines cures diseases by killing the bacterias and the virus, while attaching them, some bacterias which are useful, are also destroyed. No doubt, there are side effects with all medicines, either ayurvedic or homeopath.

I have flat feet, which results in back/foot/leg pain and fatigue after standing still for long periods of time. I do have orthotic inserts for my shoes, but that doesn't stop the pain.
What kind of medication could I talk to my doctor about regarding such an issue? Something that can relieve or possibly numb the pain but keep me coherent during extended periods of standing still? Q: What medication will make a cold go away the quickest?
I have a little cold and I want to get it away before the wknd comes. Is there a medication that will give me the fastest relief of having a cold?
A: It's true that there is no "cure", and no medications can help a cold.... but you can take natural supplements to boost your immune system, and that will often help to lessen the duration of the cold. Of course, you can also help to purge it out with plenty of fluids... the old adage of orange juice and chicken soup actually are beneficial.
General antioxidants (vitamin C, for example) are good for the immune system, as well as Elderberry, Colostrum, Beta Glucans, and mushrooms (Reishi, Maitake, or Shiitake).
